Anwynn is Belgian Symphonic Metal band with Heavy and Death influences uniting melodies and heavy riffs. The band is mainly axed around a double voices : a female lead Mezzo-Soprano and a man Death-Grunt. Born at Brussels in 2007, Anwynn has changed from line up several times to finally formalize this one : Amandine (lead vocal), Bouc (grunts), Wallace (guitar), Jukka (guitar), Wobi (bass), Astrid (key). Anwynn remains close to his Celtic definition. Most of the lyrics are written around this name, celtic culture. Recently, we have add some other lyrics about psychology, folklore. On stage, Anwynn means pure energy ! Lots of people like the band for their role play on stage. The band is like dynamite and has always this little death touch ! The members are wearing kilts, swords and horns to drink out their beers. Anwynn has recently share the program of festivals with bands like : Pagan’s Mind, Ivanohe, Scorpions, Epica, Arch Enemy, Revamp, Leave’s Eyes, Krypteria ... playing in front of few thousand people in famous festivals like Metal Female Voices Fest, Power Prog Metal Meeting. With this notoriety, the band has reached the top 5 Metal in Belgium (sic: Metal Paradise chronicles).
Shows have started in January 2008. The band had played in almost all the famous club or rock cafés in Belgium and had also played some very cool local festivals like : Rock N Trolls, Rocksound Festival and the Angel's Rock.
Anwynn is now ready to go beyond its limits to offer the best live performances possible. "Music is a good way to share our happiness with you, the public. We want to grow, to progress, to add new experiences in the band and share all that stuff with you. Finally, there is no star in band. We want to stay close to all of you and share some good times together after the show".
Anwynn is influenced by bands like Nightwish, Iron Maiden, Epica, After Forever, Tarja Turunen, Therion, Evergrey, Metallica, Dimmu Borgir, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom ...
In 2009, Anwynn has recorded his first demo tape : “Behind the veil”, a 4 track cd. In 2010, there is the « Live at PPM » in a homemade dvd ( 4 tracks). In December 2010 Anwynn released their first EP cd called Newydd Wawr (New Dawn). End of 2011, the band has signed with the French label M&O Music who will release the first album of the band : Forbidden Songs, release date April 2012.
Determined to go on with their project, the band is currently looking to play abroad and try also to be part of famous festivals like Graspop, Raismesfest, Summerbreeze or Wacken festival.
