It was in 2020 that JP DEVOX, multi-instrumentalist/author/composer, suggested to Benoît PATIGNY, singer / author, to found RIFFLESS.
They quickly found their guideline in Power-Rock compositions which quickly became popular on social networks.
Surprised by this general enthusiasm, the tracks followed one another and very quickly the duo understood that there was real potential in the compositions proposed. The alchemy is definitely present.
The lyrics are based on the current situation, abandonment, and of course Rock’n Roll.
Joined by musicians Vincent FIS (guitar), Jean-Philippe DIRIX (bass) and Marcus WEYMAERE (drums), 10 self-produced tracks were recorded in the studio in 2022. The album “Yes I Sold My Soul For Rock’N’Roll” was immediately praised by critics and released on radios and also on all digital networks.
RIFFLESS is now preparing a 4-track EP which will be released at the end of March 2024 with the M&O Music label.
Always ready to burn the boards, it’s a group with influences from several decades: modern rock, hard rock from the 70’s, power rock from the 60’s… A real journey through the history of music.
